I’ve been at UNC for six hours and we have an hour and a half to go so I thought I’d send an update.

The results from the bone marrow biopsy look good. His cancer level is much lower, but there is still some detectable disease. He’s very close to remission, but not in it yet. However, that result was based on the biopsy from last Tuesday. Since then he’s had lots more chemo. We are hopeful that the next biopsy in a few weeks will show that his cancer is undetectable.

The plan is to finish 7 more days of oral chemo, get a biopsy in a few weeks, and prepare for transplant in the meantime. It typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to get everything ready for transplant to happen. We will likely do one more Luveltamab infusion before transplant as long as the next biopsy looks clear.
