Good morning! It’s been a few days since Oliver’s biopsy and intrathecal chemo. As always, he was a champ waiting to go back to the procedure room and recovery. We are waiting for the results of those and will probably have them this afternoon. The biopsy results need to show some cancer in order for Oliver to qualify for the clinical trial in Seattle. They likely will based on what happened last year, but it is strange to be hopeful that we will see some cancer (hopefully a very small amount).
We are officially leaving RDU February 28th for Seattle and will be back home on March 5th. All five of us are able to go together for both trips, which really relieves a lot of my anxiety about being separated from my other kids. The main goal of this first trip will be to collect Oliver’s T-cells and allow them to grow while we are home for a few weeks. Thank you for praying for all the details to come together—- they really have and we are grateful to have those burdens off our shoulders.
