It’s been a whirlwind the last 48 hours. Our first night here was really hard— Ollie couldn’t sleep, threw up, had a high fever, and was in incredible pain. Thankfully, we were eventually able to manage all that through different medications.

He spent most of Thursday morning very sick and sad. He can vocalize now that he wants to go home and be with Maddie and Liam. Thankfully, by Thursday afternoon he started perking up, was able to eat something, and slept better that night.

Today was his best day in a week. I feel like I can breathe again now that his pain is more under control. We went to the playroom twice and although it’s still not easy for him to move or walk, he’s getting around better than he has in days.

There’s a pretty big winter storm coming to NC tomorrow night, so there’s a chance Will and Ollie will be stuck here for a few nights. We will be able to come home Monday and do the rest of his treatment outpatient/ from home if the roads are safe enough to travel.
