We had a really short clinic visit today full of good news! Oliver doesn’t need any blood or platelets and will hopefully not need any from now on other than a very occasional transfusion. We got news that he has a full chimerism— his body has fully adopted his donor’s immune system and there is no indication that his cells are still in his body. This is amazing news because it means that his body has fully engrafted and replaced his immune system with hers— meaning that his cells that had cancer in them are no longer present and will make his chances of relapsing much less likely. Thank you for praying— Will and I were talking today about how kind God has been to Oliver and all of us— answering our specific prayers throughout this process and giving us such an amazing community. Thank you for your part in that!
