Writing to you from UNC today. Oliver needs platelets and red blood cells today and got platelets on Friday. His chemo makes all his counts drop so this is normal, it just makes for very long days.

We are almost done with his antibiotics and will stop chemo soon so his counts can recover a bit. Ollie will get a bone marrow biopsy next Tuesday, so he needs to recover a bit before that. Giving the counts a few days to recover means there is more marrow to pull from when trying to biopsy it.

It’s been such a busy few days that I haven’t had time to say happy birthday to Will (5/29) and Maddie (5/30). They both bring so much joy to my life and I’m so proud of them.

Maddie is the sweetest sister in the world. She is nurturing, patient, and teaches her brothers so many things. She has been so strong and brave throughout this process. Her resilience and courage continues to amaze me!
