It’s been a very long day but I wanted to give a quick update.

Oliver did great today during surgery as he got a second central line and NG tube placed. We are settled into our new room. He really hates having a feeding tube coming out of his nose, but he seems to be getting used to it already and it has distracted him from the new central line in his chest, which I don’t think he’s noticed at all. We have already had two of our favorite nurses, so that is a big blessing. He told us he wanted to go home and sleep in his bed tonight (same), but he’s such a tough kid and adjusts so quickly to new situations.

Buckling up for the chemo, which starts at 6 AM and runs for two hours and is given every 6 hours for 16 doses. He will be highly monitored throughout this process, but it’s definitely scary for us to watch. It’s going to be a long admission but we’re excited that we can finally start moving along and getting things done!
