Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet Ollie boy! We often say he is a kid the world doesn’t deserve. Only just three and has endured more than most of us will endure in our lifetimes. He is pure joy— finding the best of every situation and smiling through the pain. To know Oliver is to love him. He is strong, brave, and inspires us everyday. We are beyond thankful that we have been given the gift of being his parents.

We had so much fun celebrating Oliver over the weekend. We had a carnival themed party with a face painter, magician/balloon artist and lots of fun celebrating with our neighbors and family. Pictures below :)

I have updated my amazon wish list if you’d like to send Ollie, Liam, and Maddie some Seattle fun! We did not bring toys with us, so we we will donate/give away any toys we receive before we come home. Thank you, as always, for your generosity!

If you/your kids would like to send a card to Ollie, Liam (April 9 is his birthday), or Maddie and you don’t have our Seattle address, please email jessica.ann.morrel@gmail.com.

We will settle in Seattle over the next couple days and Thursday Ollie will have a lumbar puncture and bone marrow biopsy to determine how much residual disease is left after this second round of chemo. Even if no residual disease is detected, he will still qualify for the clinical trial because his last biopsy showed that he still has some cancer left. The reason that this trial is so important is because this time last year, there was no residual disease left after two round of chemo yet we know the cancer was still hiding somewhere. Our hope is that the CART cells will find the cancer at a cellular level and destroy anything that is left. Will you pray that this trial is successful and will ultimately lead to Oliver’s complete and lasting remission?
